DAY OF TOURIST ORGANIZATION OF NIS CELEBRATED

 In symbolic way TON Nis celebrated its jubilee - 1700 Anniversary of the battle at the Milvian bridge and its own Celebration day with placing description table by the monument at Nisava quay with appropriate text in Serbian, English, French, German and Italian languges. The monument was raised in the honor of the Emperor Constantine and has on its basis the mark 312 when the battle at the Milvian Bridge took place and when before the battle Constantine the Great saw Christ Monogram with the message `In hoc signo vinces`Only one year after, still under the strong impression of victory with the faith in Holly Cross, Constantine brought Milan Edict.

FOUNDATION STONE BLESSING OF SAINT PETKA CHURCH

 On the day of Venerable Mother Paraskeva, October 27, the Archbishop of Nis Jovan, performed the blessing ritual of the foundation stone for the Church of Saint Petka in Palilula in the park across the Central railway station in Nis. With this action, the people of Palilula will have `one more place of God and place of their own prayers and meetings` and for the city itself it means writing of new history of Bubanj and our Emperor City – emphasized arch - priest Ivan Stankovic.In the end of 2011 the Agreement with the City of Nis was signed on mutual construction of this church where the City of Nis is obliged to give the land, and Church to provide resources for construction.

SAINT PETKA – SAINT DAY OF MEDIANA MUNICIPALITY

 Mediana Municipality, with the blessing of the Archbishop of Nis Jovan and with the holly ceremony of cutting the Saints Slava day cake and in the presence of many friends in St. Sava Hall celebrated Saint Petka. Boban Dzunic, president of Palilula Municipality wished the best to Nebojsa Krstic, president of Municipality and vice president Milan Krstic, including all the councilors of Mediana. With the wish to emphasize the benevolence, Mediana Municipality starting from this year to give `Blagodarnica`. Saint Petka always helped all who were in trouble and who were calling her name and her name is because of that Blagodarnica (the one who gives willingly).

 International Children Day was celebrated in St. Sava hall in Nis with traditional manifestation ` Friendship meetings – Joy of Europe 2012` organized successfully for sixth year by Church – dancing ensemble `Branko` with blessing of His Holiness Archbishop of Nis Dr Jovan and auspices of Palilula Municipality. `Zlatno slavujce` –Golden Nightingale from Skopje, folk ensemble from Senta (Fund `Stevan Sremac`), Children cultural center, Belgrade, children from Children cultural-educational and recreation center from Nis presented their programmes in Nis. `Today is special joy, for John the Baptist was conceived, reminded the participants of this manifestation in his blessing the Archbishop of Nis Dr.Jovan.

 On the occasion of International Day of Children on Saturday 6 October at `Svetosavski Dom` in Nis (Hall of St. Sava, Nis Eparchy) beginning at 20 00 hours will take place the Sixth international manifestation FRIENDSHIP MEETINGS - JOY OF EUROPE NIS 2012. With the blessing of His Holiness Archbishop of Nis Dr Jovan and auspices of Palilula Municipality, Church dancing ensemble` Branko` will be the host this year for the children of Skopje, Senta (Fund `Stevan Sremac`), Belgrade (DKOC) and little children from `Children cultural and recreation center` of Nis . The theme of 43rd Joy of Europe is `Let us put down streams into wide rivers, let us develop left and right tributaries` by Dusko Radovic.

WATER AND SEWERAGE

 During the end of the last year the works on the construction of secondary water system in Gabrovac were completed. Then it was agreed that old water system, constructed 40 years ago, after the connection of all the citizens of this settlement to new water system, can be closed. The obligation was that about 450 households in Gabrovac sign the contracts with Public Enterprise `Naisus`. Unfortunately beside the benefits of deferred payment of compensation for water connection on twelve rates this obligation was completed around 150 households. In the period from July 2011 to July 2012 because of not paid bills for water came also the obligation in the amount of 2,5 million dinars in interest.

 Realization of already started works until the end of this year from the Programme of development of the City of Nis for 2012 and projection of the activities on the creating of new Programme of development for 2013 was the theme for conversation of Boban Dzunic, president of Palilula Municipality with Branislav Jovanovic, national delegate in the Assembly and executive director of the Directorate for Nis City Construction that was organized in this city municipality. President Boban Dzunic expressed his satisfaction with this meeting since, according to his opinion, it contributes to solving many problems in local community. Palilula Municipality is first step of cooperation with citizens in our settlements.
